MABC 2026: Exploring New Horizons – Day 4

This is the MABC World News bringing you more updates from the Mid-Atlantic Burn Camp’s journey around the world...in just seven days! On Day 4, our travelers spent the day trying new adventures, building confidence, and making memories that will last long after camp comes to an end

Group 4 (ages 10–12) spent the day at the stables, learning riding techniques and enjoying the opportunity to connect with some gentle new friends.

Meanwhile, Group 7 (age 14) traveled to South Africa through the camp kitchen, learning to make bunny chow, a popular South African dish, and picked up some new cooking skills along the way!

Our oldest adventurers in Group 9 (ages 15–17) explored the Shenandoah River by canoe, enjoying beautiful scenery while strengthening their teamwork on the water.

Group 3 (ages 7–10) spent the day exploring a local farm, getting up close with a variety of friendly animals and learning more about life on the farm.

Collaboration and determination were on full display as Group 6 (ages 12-13) tackled Camp Horizon’s high and low ropes courses, supporting one another while building confidence and challenging themselves.

As the sun went down, campers took center stage for one of camp’s favorite traditions—the annual talent show! From music and dancing to comedy and creative performances, everyone had the chance to share their talents with the whole camp.
