Our young sailors in training had another fabulous day out at sea! As
we hit the middle of the week, campers are in full swing of their daily
adventures.

The two youngest groups spent their day on-site at Brethren Woods.
Group 1 (7- to 9-year-olds) had a very nautical morning, learning how
to tie knots in the camp science and nature program.

The 10- and 11-year-olds in Group 3 learned how to make various Caribbean cuisines in the cooking program!

Our oldest sailors in Group 9B (15- to 16-year-olds) enjoyed a calmer
day on the seas, making small models in Arts & Crafts.

Groups 6A (12- to 14-year olds) and 9A (16- to 17-year-olds) had a much more active day by comparison!

The 6A boys visited the Camp Horizons rope course.

And the 9A girls hit the open river for their canoe trip!

Meanwhile, Group 3 (10- to 11-year olds) worked on some team
building activities in the game program.

Finally, all groups returned to camp and settled in for our signature Home in the Woods night. While the rain hampered the ability of most of young sailors to sleep outside under the stars as is typical for this camp tradition, every group was able to enjoy a meal cooked by the fire and, of course, some s’mores.

With the passing of the rain, our merry band of marauders turned in for the night, dreaming of horseback riding, rope swings, and (hopefully) dryer mornings ahead.
