MABC 2024 Camp Ships Log Day 2
Another day be come and gone here on the open MAB-Sea! Pirates had a big day of adventure ranging from big fun on the deep jungle rope walks( Camp Horizions Rope course) to swimmin on the high seas (the pool) and even a canoe trip for some of our more experienced sailors.
Just after morning breakfast,Group 9A set off on a rock climbing adventure at a rocky outcrop near camp.
Our 9B pirates (ages 15 to 17) braved the “open seas” on a canoe trip down the Shenandoah River, complete with a campout on the river banks!
The campers in Group 6A went for a high flying adventure on the Camp Horizions high ropes course.
On the other side of camp, our young rogues in Group 3 (ages 10 to 11) enjoyed some pirate themed recreation in the camp games program!
The real fun kicked in during the camp evening programs after dinner!First, sailors were visited by a professional bubble artist and even learned how to make their own gigantic bubbles.
While the 6B campers (ages 12and 14) wrangled horses...
...the Group 1 sailors (ages 7-9) painted at arts and crafts.
Eventually, all young pirates intermingled between their groups to form new teams to play minue to win it style games during our first ever Seven Seas competition.
Another sun sets on us here on the open seas as our campers head to bed, but plenty of fun be lying ahead for our young sailors. Keep your eyes on the horizions for ye next message in a bottle from us here on the MABC!
